However, it was not until the end of the year that he was auditioned for the part of Jett Jackson in his first official movie titled “The Famous Jett Jackson”..movie that was shot in 1999.

Disney Junior TV released the movie, and due to the fact they brought the full rights of the movie, it became their property. The movie was premiered in July 2001. A life-changing event Lee had after the cancellation of his debut movie “The Famous Jett Jackson”, Lee Thompson was cast in another movie in 2004 titled ” Friday Night Lights”, He was cast as Chris Come.

On August 19, 2013, Lee Thompson Young died from a deadly disease (non-communicable disease). At the time of his death, he was a few months away from celebrating 30 years old. At the time of his death, he was survived by his large extended friends and family.

On August 19, 2013, Young failed to show up to film for an acting gig (Rizzoli & Isles). After his death, his family asked the Police to do a wellbeing check on him at his apartment I’m Los Angeles, United States of America; where they found his dead body.
